AES67 Ravenna – Seamless IP audio

The internal AES67/RAVENNA interface module for Series 52 IP Cores, providing high-density audio-over-IP connectivity with full broadcast-grade redundancy. The 52-7567 delivers up to 128 channels in and 128 channels out via two independent Gigabit Ethernet ports, with SMPTE ST2110-30 and ST2022-7 conformance for seamless integration into professional AES67 and RAVENNA broadcast networks. NMOS IS-04 and IS-05 support is available as a license upgrade, enabling standardized device discovery and connection management across the facility.

  • Up to 128 audio channels in and out via AES67/RAVENNA

  • 32×32 fully redundant streams via SMPTE ST2022-7

  • SMPTE ST2110-30 conformance with PTPv2 synchronization

  • HTML5 web interface for configuration and monitoring

Browser-based configuration and monitoring

The 52-7567 is fully configured through an integrated HTML5 web interface — no additional software installation required. Stream routing, channel mapping, PTP clock status and network diagnostics are accessible from any device with a standard web browser. The interface provides real-time monitoring of all active streams and allows operators to set up, modify and verify audio connections without interrupting on-air operation.

High-density AES67 and RAVENNA audio

Each module supports up to 32 receive and 32 transmit streams in fully redundant SMPTE ST2022-7 mode, carrying a maximum of 128 audio channels in each direction. Audio streams conform to AES67, RAVENNA and SMPTE ST2110-30, ensuring interoperability with equipment from other manufacturers in mixed-vendor broadcast infrastructures. Integrated 96 kHz sample rate converters on all inputs maintain signal integrity when interfacing with sources running at different clock rates.

Built for mission-critical operation

The two independent Gigabit Ethernet ports enable SMPTE ST2022-7 seamless protection switching, maintaining uninterrupted audio delivery even if a network path fails. PTPv2 synchronization (IEEE 1588-2008) keeps the module sample-accurately locked to the facility clock, with support for multiple PTP domains. For facilities requiring the highest level of reliability, the module integrates into DHD's dual-core redundancy architecture available on the XD3 platform.

System integration and remote control

Beyond audio transport, the 52-7567 provides 32 GPIs and 32 GPOs for hardware logic integration — enabling tally control, on-air signaling and external equipment switching directly from the DHD system. For facility-wide control, the module supports Ember+ control protocol out of the box. NMOS IS-04 (discovery and registration) and IS-05 (connection management) are available as a license upgrade, allowing broadcast controllers and third-party management systems to discover, monitor and configure streams across the network using standardized NMOS workflows.

Compatible with all Series 52 IP Cores

The 52-7567 installs as an internal IPx slot module in the XC3, XD3 and XS3 audio engines. It draws just 5 W of power from the host core and requires no external power supply or additional rack space. Multiple modules can be installed in a single core to scale channel capacity as the facility grows.
