• Broadcast Asia: Stand 5B1-5 with Stagetec in the Singapore Expo, May 27th-29th.
“We will be demonstrating the reliability, versatility and operational efficiency that make our products the preferred choice for many broadcasters around the world,” comments Christoph Gottert, DHD’s International Sales Manager. “Products on show will comprise a selection from our current range which includes the RX2 broadcast audio mixing console, SX2 compact console, DX2 desktop mixer, TX2 touchscreen mixing panel and XC3 Core. At MPTS in London, Thum + Mahr will also show our recently introduced RM1 all-in-one audio interface.”
DHD’s top-of-the range RX2 is designed to scale easily from 6 or 12 faders, for use in small production units, up to large consoles with 96 faders. It is based on central and fader modules which can be combined and configured to match a wide range of radio and TV production environments such as on-air studios, main control rooms and OB vehicles. Each RX2 module has a dedicated high brightness 10.1 inch touch display. The central module provides the most important audio I/Os plus a direct microphone input and a stereo headphone output. Loudspeakers can also be driven directly from this module.

DHD’s SX2 compact mixing console is based on a central module with four motorised faders. SX2 units can function independently or be chained with others to create a single mixing desk. Also available is a fader module with six motorised faders. This allows the addition of a second layer accommodating up to 20 faders. Central and fader modules each incorporate a 10.1 inch multitouch display showing relevant configuration and operating parameters.

The DX2 desktop mixer is based on a four-fader central module plus a six-fader expansion unit. Both modules are equipped with a user-configurable 7.8 inch multi-touch screen for viewing fader and central control parameters. The maximum number of faders is determined by the capabilities of the connected core: XC3, XS3 or XD3. Four faders plus a dedicated section for setup, monitoring and talkback are incorporated in the central module. Connectivity features include a broadcast quality XLR microphone input, right and left line outputs to feed active loudspeakers, a 6.3 mm jack stereo headphone output plus a 3.5 mm mini jack input port which allows direct audio insertion from a smartphone for live telephone interviews. Six dust-protected professional grade 100 mm motorised faders are incorporated in each DX2 fader module.
Optimised for daily use where space is at a premium, the DHD TX2 is a compact multitouch mixer which can be placed directly on a desktop or attached via a VESA-based mount. It can be used standalone or to extend any DHD system. Just 260 mm wide by 272 mm front-to-back, The TX2’s forward-sloping tabletop panel includes a 10.1 inch capacitive multitouch IPS display, two assignable potentiometers and six silent multicolour hardware buttons, allowing professional audio mixing. The TX2 can be used with XC3 or XD3 cores in isolation or as part of a larger mixing system and does not require a PC for operation. Frequently used ports can be accessed easily on the mixer’s 5 cm high rear panel.
The XC3 core is designed for use in on-air radio and television broadcast facilities ranging from small DJ-operated studios with 12 faders to larger control desks with up to 48 faders in a complex studio environment.
Occupying a 1U high by half rack width and 185 mm front-to-back housing, the RM1 all-in-one audio interface delivers a high quality signal ready for direct or internet-connected distribution, allowing a reporter or show host to focus on programme production without being distracted by technology. Creative features include AutoMix, automatic gain levelling and control, an audio equaliser, compressor, limiter and on-air tally. Full manual control is also easily accessible. RM1 connectivity includes dual microphone inputs, dual stereo headphone outputs, stereo loudspeaker outputs, auxiliary in/out, 16 x 16 USB audio, 4 x 4 Dante AoIP, Bluetooth audio, USB-C, WLAN and RJ45 ports. Web software is included.
